After his granny told him "you will get square eyes if you watch any more of that rubbish!", Ben set about doing exactly that. Brought up on a diet of Luc Besson, Fincher and Scorsese films, by his brothers, the scene was set. His journey as a cinematographer began at the grassroots level, sweeping floors and writing letters to industry professionals to get started, Working his way through each role in the camera department—from runner to director of photography—has not only refined his technical skills but has also ingrained in him the value of collaboration and adaptability. Working with Nic Roeg, one of his biggest cinematic influences, is a real highlight in his career as a cinematographer so far. Throughout this journey, Ben has become a regular collaborator with directors such as Marc Evans, The Douglas brothers, Paul Andrew Williams, Chris Forster, Statten Roeg, Pedro Romanhi, Dom & Nic and Alex Warren as well as clients such as Santander, Louis Vuitton, FIFA, Center Parcs, Netflix and Apple TV.
